“Within couple next months, we are ready to hold several meetings and activities,” Wandik said in the press conference held at Aston Jayapura Hotel on Monday (6/10).
Wandik said as the host, Papua Province is ready to hold this important event. And for the future, Papua PB PABBSI will be more focus on Papuan athletes.
“Papuan athletes please do not hesitate to consult us. Papua PB PABBSI is ready to facilitate and work hard to achieve the glory for the coming years,” he said.
To response to the governor’s step in proposing Papua as the Host of PON 2020, Papua PABBSI have five years planning for the athletes.
“I hope Papuan athletes are ready to go with our planning,” said Wandik.
At the same place, the deputy secretary of PB PABBSI, Sonny Kasiran said the association is ready to provide support and motivation to the Papua branch, saying Papua had contributed great athletes such as Levi Rumbewas, Lisa Rumbewas and the late Domiggus Sarwa.
“So, Mr. Wandik is right. We are ready to work together, to give advice and feedback, especially in regards to the preparation and organization of the National Games. What is important now it is being prepared,” he said. [JUB]
