Court Case Dismissed, William Powi Want To Implement Five Keys to Develop Southern Highlands Province

PORT MORESBY - Southern Highlands Governor William Powi says he wants to implement the five key development areas, now that his Election Petition court case filed against him has been dismissed completely by the Mendi Court recently.

“We are in the process of getting the implementation framework done,” says Powi.

“Now that the court has cleared my election petition case, I will focus on service delivery and focus on stability and governance of our province.”

In a news conference this afternoon, Governor Powi said these areas include infrastructure rehabilitation, Law & Justice Sector, Education, Health and developing the agriculture sector.

He said top of the development agenda will also be to revive the tea and coffee plantations in the province. [EMTV]
