Anderson Agiru Visit Hela Student at The Pacific Adventist University

PORT MORESBY - Hela Governor, Anderson Agiru, visited students from his Province at the Pacific Adventist University today.

He was there to present subsidies for Hela students enrolled at the institution.

Governor Agiru said PAU was left out of the initial Provincial budget allocations and wanted Hela students there to know they were not forgotten.

Governor Agiru met his students in a quiet gathering but one that will be of great importance for these Hela students studying at PAU.

He was there to present K34, 000 in subsidies for 40 students.

Governor Agiru said PAU was not included in the initial provincial budget allocation, and wanted to do right by the students here.

He said human resource was a priority of his and every students had to be included.

PAU is one of the fastest growing and most respectable universities in the country. But with the standard and quality of education taught in the institution, it also comes with a price.

Burser Karo Matainaho said PAU is a private institution and tuition fees needed to paid so that it continued operating.

Most of the Hela students here say they have struggled to fully pay their tuition fees.

They expressed gratitude for the Governor’s assistance saying it will go a long way in their education.

Governor Agiru has vowed to assist his students, and support the institution in the future. [EMTV]
